What is Uveitis?

Uveitis refers to inflammation of the uvea, the middle layer of the eye that includes the iris, ciliary body, and choroid. It can affect one or both eyes and may lead to pain, redness, light sensitivity, or blurred vision. When not treated properly, uveitis can cause serious complications such as cataract, glaucoma, or retinal damage – making early intervention crucial.

When is Uveitis Management Needed?

You may need uveitis evaluation or treatment if you experience :

Eye Redness and Pain : Especially persistent or recurring.

Light Sensitivity (Photophobia) : Discomfort in bright light.

Blurring or Loss of Vision : Sudden or progressive visual decline.

Recurrent Inflammation : Especially if linked to autoimmune or infectious causes.

Recovery & Results

Most patients experience relief from pain and inflammation within days of treatment initiation. Regular monitoring and long-term follow-up help prevent recurrences and safeguard retinal health.

Successful uveitis management isn’t just about reducing inflammation - it’s about restoring clarity, comfort, and confidence.
